We host an ongoing series of one-day swim clinics where one topic of the day centers around each of the following:

  1. Bullet The science of swimming & the physiology of aging

  2. Bullet Eat to compete

  3. Bullet The power to move water

  4. Bullet The psychology of competition

  5. Bullet Keeping the athlete healthy

  6. Bullet The interview with life

For all those wanting to move through water faster and more efficiently... this will be time well spent.

Highlights of the clinic:

  1. BulletThere will be two sessions in the water: from 9 a.m. till about 11:30 a.m., then a classroom where you will have a chance to refuel (eat lunch, which you should bring); there will be a discussion with handouts from Coach Nessel's latest research. The second session in the water will go from 1:30-3:30 p.m.

  2. Bullet A video presentation on proper stroke technique followed by questions and answers.

  3. Bullet An in-depth discussion on the topic of the day followed by questions and answers.

  4. Bullet In-pool practice and training with coaching and corrections provided by Ed Nessel, 1999 USMS Coach of the Year and masters national champion in the 100-yard breaststroke.

  5. Bullet Use of fins during our clinics is a must. We have the latest design in training fins for sale if you would like to purchase a pair for $55. Let Coach Nessel know ahead of time so he can bring enough pairs.

  6. Bullet Underwater video of each attendee with corrective analysis provided. During the day, each swimmer will be videotaped by Coach Nessel's daughter, Lee, who was an All-America Swimmer at the University of Miami and is presently the sports editor of Florida Today. She will burn a DVD with Coach Nessel's voice-over analysis for each swimmer to keep as reference.

  7. Bullet Cost of the one-day clinic is $125 per swimmer.
